With a new year, comes time to look at the past year and see what worked, what didn’t, what to try again, get rid of or try for the first time. I myself like to see what I actually accomplished and what maybe didn’t actually make a difference for me if I achieved it or not. I actually went ahead and used the same vision board I had created in 2019 and took off all the pictures of the ones I achieved or no longer cared for and kept the ones that I wanted to try to achieve this year in 2020, along with a few new ones. Here is my vision board from 2019 and a few things that came to flourishing in and some that didn’t…
Achieved in 2019
- I was in a magazine again!
- I created zero waste life where I could- I reuse all the containers now and bought products that can be used many times are are good for the earth
- I mastered my wardrobe
- I learned to declutter and in the process sold a few things online
- I mastered how to create a charcuterie board
- I reached my savings goal
- I visited a few new places
- I worked with some incredible new brands!
Did not achieve in 2019
- Helping in a community garden
- Creating a work out routine
- I didn’t visit a new country
- I didn’t become a master at making cocktails, in fact I made 1 all year!
- I didn’t work with the top 2 brands I had on my board
- Create a healthier curly hair routine
- I didn’t create more creative photoshoots
You may think that by not getting everything on my vision board I was disappointed in myself but truth be told I wasn’t. You see I was able to see what actually brought me joy and focused on that and some of the things on my board I thought I really wanted to achieve, I realized I liked the idea of it for some but honestly I just realized that I dedicated time elsewhere. This year I think may be one of my most creative ones and more so because I want to add another layer to the blog and I want to push myself in getting outside my comfort zone. Which is why the word I have picked for this year is CHANGE, because a lot of the things on here are things that I have never done or maybe have shied away from in past BUT NOT THIS YEAR!
So here is my vision board I created for this year and my goals for 2020.
2020 Goals
- Throw a bomb 10 year class reunion
- Master instapot recipes
- Go on a solo trip
- Create a work out routine and stick to it!
- Learn the balance of taking juices and probiotics
- Use IGTV and YouTube! (this one will be big for me)
- Perfect my skincare routine
- Travel to a new country
- Build up my brand
- Be apart of a brand campaign
- Make more $$$ for my big picture savings goals
- Master my curls
- Work with some brands on my dream list
- and embrace CHANGE!
I hope that this helps you as you are creating you goals and/or vision board for 2020 and that you can shoot to be your best self this year even if you don’t meet all the goals you originally wanted. Because as the year goes by you will change and so will a lot of things so as long as you can see your small daily wins just know that you are doing enough!
