I use to think that when you wanted to create an area in your home as your office, you needed a whole separate bedroom to make it work. But I have come to realize that isn’t true. You just need a small space to call yours in which you can work productively. Here’s how I created mine…
First and foremost, you will need a desk and a chair (pick something comfortable) and a few things on it to make it feel a little more cozy. Don’t forget to make sure the area you select is close to an outlet so you can charge your laptop, phone or anything else you may need.
Don’t feel like you have to get a big desk or need to fully decorate the area (a few things like in my picture can do.) I have found that less is sometimes better and as long as you have what you need then all will be fine.
This desk only has 1 drawer but I make sure to only keep what I need in it so nothing gets lost and I can always find exactly what I need when I open it.
Now it is time to add a few personal touches to your desk area to make it feel a little more cozy.
