This is by far one of the easiest recipes you can make that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients and is very tasty. Overall this dish will coast you less then $10 to make and you will have several portions left for leftovers! It’s an easy enough pasta recipe that if you’re in a pinch and don’t have or want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, people might still think you did. Great to have for a week night dinner, make for your significate other (since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day) or enjoy by yourself with a nice glass of wine.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of uncooked spaghetti pasta (I sometimes only cook half)
- 4-6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced or minced (dealers choice)
- 1/3 cup of olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of chili pepper flakes (add more if desired)
- 1 bunch of chopped parsley
- 1/2 lemon (freshly juiced)
- salt & pepper for taste
Instructions:
- Bring heavily salted water to a boil and cook pasta to al dente. When straining the pasta about 1-2 cups of pasta water to add in to the recipe.
- Combine olive oil and garlic in a large sauce pan and heat over a medium flame until the garlic is lightly toasted.
- Add drained pasta into the pan along with chopped parsley, chili pepper flakes, lemon, and pasta water (start by adding a little at a time until desired consistency)
- Toss together so everything is married together and serve!
Optional: top off with some freshly grated parmesan cheese.
And you’re done, that’s how easy this recipe is! This is also a recipe I recommend for anyone who is getting into cooking because it really easy and hard to mess up. Hope you get a chance to recreate this recipe and enjoy! I also made a REEL doing this recipe that you can check out HERE.
