If there is anything I have learned this winter is that turtlenecks are your best friend and now that they are on sale I am buying them all up. If you have never owned one and think naw these aren’t for me, I thought the same. So here are 3 tips I have when shopping for your next or first turtleneck sweater.
- Pick a fabric you can live in- Meaning make sure the material isn’t ichy, too bulky if you are looking to tuck it in, is not see through and does not feel like is overly tight on your neck. The biggest thing to sometimes get use to is having it around your neck and you want that feel comfortable.
- Try to stick with solids- As any pattern goes, sticking to a solid pattern when you are first trying it is a good way to find multiple ways to wear it in the future and you don’t run the chance of wearing an unflattering pattern.
- Warmth- Remember to pick something that is going to do it’s job which is keep your neck warm. This is especially important if you live somewhere that has colder weather because you want to also look stylish while not freezing your butt off.
Hope these 3 quick tips helped and you give turtlenecks a try!
