If you live in the Midwest like me, you know that you can’t trust this weather. One day it’s warm and sunny and the next it’s freaking windy and cold…WTF weather! So I’ve learned how to wear outfits that can transition from chilly to warm weather. I actually learned this by mixing patterns, in particular by mixing material that can work in either scenarios.

Tips on How to Mix Patterns
Pick one primary color for your whole outfit, think of this as your starting canvas (I usually pick black or any neutrals to stay on the safe side).
Make sure both or all your patterns have your chosen primary color in the pattern.
Only have one pattern pop more than the other. Try to keep one a little less bold so that colors don’t contrast.
***If you’re dressing to accommodate this crazy weather try wearing something lighter on either the bottom or the top of your outfit. Ex: I’m wearing pantyhose and a skirt while on top I have layers under my long sleeve and a scarf. This way if it gets too hot I can take of my scarf and only a portion of my body will be warm instead of my whole body.***
Como Mezclar Patrones
Elige un color primario para tu look entero (yo siempre elijo el color negro o cualquier color neutral).
Asegúrese de que ambas o todas sus patrones tienen su color primario elegido en el patrón.
Sólo elige un patrón que resalte mas que el otro. Trate de mantener una un poco neutral para que los colores no contrastan.
*** Si estás vistiendo para este clima loco trate de usar algo más ligero ya sea en el fondo o en la parte superior de su traje. Ej: estoy usando pantimedias y una falda , mientras que en la parte superior capas tengo bajo mi manga larga y una bufanda . De esta manera si se hace demasiado calor que puede tomar de mi bufanda y sólo una parte de mi cuerpo va a estar caliente en lugar de mi cuerpo entero***
