During times like this I think it is important to remember that we are not the only ones being affected and that if we can we should help others even if it just by donations. Lots of organizations need your help to continue to do good during these times as we as a world tackle on the Coronavirus. We still yet know how much more with will come or how much bigger of an impact this will be for everyone but in order to help those who we have in the past and those who now need our help the most because of not working or any circumstances now is when if we can we should. Here are a few organizations that could use your help during this time.
Meals on Wheels– Is an organization that provides meals to seniors all over American and more than ever they need your help to make sure that they can keep up with helping more communities who need this.
Feeding America– This network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger. Lots of people depend on programs like this to help them and many more will in the weeks to come and if can even just help at a local scale with our own food bank it will all the difference.
Local Food Banks– Our local food banks are seeing an increase in families and communities that now need their help. Depending what your may need at the moment, I recommend checking their site to see how you can help. If you are in the St. Louis area our local food bank is asking for you to pick up a few extra food items for them the next time you’re at the store of if you have any extra you think you may not need.
American Red Cross– Stands for everything that we need right now, a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education in the US. So not only can you donate blood to them to help with the many hospitals across the country who might need it but financial donations also help them in providing basic necessities to communities after a disaster.
Heart to Heart International– They are one of many organizations distributing medical supplies to all the places that need it the most
Relief International– Is a humanitarian non-profit agency that provides emergency relief, economic rehabilitation, development assistance, and program services to vulnerable communities worldwide
Global Giving– Is a global crowdfunding community that connects nonprofits, donors and companies in nearly every country
Unicef– Is on the the leading Children’s Fund is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide
During this time I know that one of the best things about my day is when the weather is nice out and I finally get to go outside and be in nature as the season is staring to change. I know many of us are fining peace, healing and sanity in nature so we can’t forget to support some of our local, state and national parks. I know that being in St. Louis we are very blessed to have such a big park like Forest Park be free to us and all of our other parks that have great hiking trails. So considering donating to a park that you love as well as Park Foundations and Conservations! Here are few of my favorites
I hope that this post helps you if you’re looking for place to donate during this time and if you found this helpful please pass along to anyone who might also find this beneficial.
