Fashion Week took place in Union Station on October 16th and 17th, unfortunately I was only able to go to one this one event, but that’s ok because my roommate from college was getting married! It was incredible to see Union Station transformed into a runway and had everything from a VIP Blogger lounge to a photo booth. Plus this amazing display of shoes!
Fashion Week in St. Louis (USA) estuvo en Union Station el 16 y 17 de October. Solamente tuve la oportunidad de ir a un show porque mi mejor amiga de colegio se casaba ese fin de semana. Aunque solo fui por un dia puede ver como transformaron el lugar con musica, bebidas, modelos en ropa de diseño. Ademas este espectacular pantalla de zapatos de cual me enamore!
The Emerging Designers Competition was hosted right before runway show, models lined up in the designers clothes and the winner was announced right before the runway show and then was awarded $2,500. The designers included were (picture to name) Trang Nguyen, Nasheli Juliana, Michael Drummond, Truly Alvarenga of Pink Elephant Designs, and Paulie Gibson. Truly Alvarenga of Pink Elephant Designs took home the prize for here goth theme designs, which were my personal favorite.
La competencia de nuevo diseñadores que estaban competiendo por $2,500 dolares. Los diseñadores que estaban competiendo fueron Trang Nguyen, Nasheli Juliana, Michael Drummond, Truly Alvarenga de Pink Elephant Designs, and Paulie Gibson. Y la ganadora fue Truly Alvarenga de Pink Elephant Designs.
My camera wasn’t the best for the lighting so I wasn’t really able to get any good pictures but I did snag a video and uploaded it to my Instagram, you can see a whole collection in 15 seconds! Designers showing their pieces this night and competing for $15,000 included Wai Ming, Daniella Kallmeyer, Collina Strada, Remi Canarie, Jessie Liu and Harbison.
