Chris and I recently went to Denver for our 3 year anniversary trip and here is my mini recap of our trip and what I think you should do if you ever visit Denver for a few days like us!
Chris y yo fuimos recientemente a Denver para nuestro viaje de aniversario de 3 años y aquí está mi mini Resumen de nuestro viaje y lo que creo que debe hacer si alguna vez visita Denver durante unos pocos días como nosotros!
A tradition Chris and I have when we travel is to always try a local donut shop, a local craft beer and go the city’s art museum. All which we did on the first day and might I mention we got up at 4am to catch a 6am flight and then did all this in one day plus more!
Place to grab donuts- Voodoo Donuts
Brews- Denver has so many local craft beers, I’ll let you take your pick 😉
Be sure to visit Denver’s Art Museum, it is 2 buildings filled with amazing art and local history.
Una tradición que Chris y yo tenemos cuando viajamos es siempre tratar de una tienda de donas local, una cerveza artesanal y Museo de arte de la ciudad. Todos los que hicimos el primer día y podría mencionar nos levantó a las 4:00 para coger un vuelo de 6:00 y luego hizo todo esto en un día más más!

No olvide visitar el Museo de arte de Denver, es 2 edificios llenos de arte increíble y la historia local.
One of my favorite things about Denver’s Art museum is how they have a wide collection of Hispanic artists contributing to the showrooms. I personally have a great love for Hispanic artists because most of the time when they create a piece inspired by culture or how they may have been raised I can relate to it and feel like that piece was made for me to see.
Una de mis cosas favoritas sobre el Museo de arte de Denver es cómo tienen una amplia colección de artistas hispanos que contribuyen a los salones de muestras. Personalmente tengo un gran amor por artistas hispanos porque la mayoría de las veces cuando crea una pieza inspiradas en la cultura o cómo puede se han planteado puedo se relacionan con ella y sentir como esa pieza fue hecha para que mi ver.
We also went on Banjo Billy’s tour which was a tour of Denver on a only bus made into a hippie like tour bus!
Day 2/ Dia 2
We headed to Denver’s Botanical Garden, tried several local brews and had the best ice cream in town!
Fuimos a el Jardín Botánico de Denver, intentó en varias cervezas locales y tuvo el mejor helado de la ciudad!
In case you’re curious where we stayed. We stayed in an Airbnb in Denver for 2 days and then in another Airbnb on our third day is Estes Park. Here is a few pictures of where we stayed the first 2 nights.
Si está curioso donde nos alojamos. Me alojé en un Airbnb en Denver durante 2 días y luego en otro Airbnb en nuestro tercer día es parque de Estes. Aquí le damos un par de fotos de donde nos quedamos las 2 primeras noches.
If you are in Denver and want a scoop of ice cream then be sure to go to the Little Man Ice Cream, but fair warning if it is a nice day be prepared to wait. My wait was 45 minutes but I have to say that the wait was very much worth it because I received a HUGE ice cream scoop for only $3 and had to share it with Chris because I couldn’t finish it.
Day 3/ Dia 3
We hit up a local Denver coffee shop and then hit the road to Estes Park. Which about a 2 hour drive if you take the scenic route, less if you go through Boulder.
En la manana fuimos a una tienda de café local de Denver y luego salir a la carretera a Estes Park. Que cerca de 2 horas en coche si se toma la ruta, menos si vas a través de Boulder.
Chris and I love hiking so we couldn’t pass up the chance to go to a National Park during our trip. Now keep in mind that we went at the beginning of May and we hiked on snow the whole time and it even hailed during the start of our trail!
During our time in Denver we drove a Mitsubishi and we only had to fill the gas tank once! Keep in mind we drove it from the airport to the city, around Denver for 2 days, to Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park) and back to the airport! It also was the perfect size for Chris and I’s luggage to get around for our trip.
Durante nuestro tiempo en Denver condujimos un Mitsubishi y sólo tuvimos que llenar el depósito de combustible una vez! ¡Tenga presente que lo condujimos del aeropuerto a la ciudad, alrededor de Denver durante 2 días, al parque Estes (Parque Nacional de Rocky Mountain) y atrás al aeropuerto! También era la talla perfecta para Chris y soy el equipaje para ponerme alrededor para nuestro viaje.
